Terms of service

1. What Cursivia is

Cursivia is a study-planning tool for people preparing for EPSO competitions. It builds a plan from what you tell us, measures your reasoning and field knowledge with practice questions, and adapts the plan as it learns. You use it by creating an account with your email address; there is no password.

2. We are not EPSO, and this is the important part

Cursivia has no connection with EPSO, the European Personnel Selection Office, or any European Union institution. We are not endorsed by, affiliated with or acting for them. Our practice questions are written by us in the style of the real tests — they are not past papers and not official material.

Nothing here affects your application. Registration, eligibility, the tests themselves and the results are entirely EPSO's, and the official Notice of Competition is always the authority. Where our summary of a Notice differs from the Notice, the Notice is right and we are wrong — read it.

3. No guarantee of a result

We do not promise that you will pass, place on a reserve list, or reach any score. Preparation helps; it is not a result. Our plans, study briefs and questions are generated automatically, including by a large language model, and can contain mistakes. Treat them as informed suggestions, verify anything that matters against the primary source we link to, and tell us when something is wrong — there is a report control on every question.

4. Your account

Keep your email account secure: anyone who can read it can sign in as you, because sign-in is by emailed link or code. One account is for one person; do not share it or resell access. You must be at least 16 to use Cursivia.

You may delete your account at any time from your account page — it is immediate and it deletes your data, as described in the privacy notice.

5. Trial, price and cancellation

  • Paid features start with a 7-day free trial. We take your card details at the start, through Stripe, and do not charge during the trial.
  • Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the subscription begins and renews monthly at the price shown on the checkout page at the time you sign up.
  • You can cancel whenever you like, from your account page. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not refund the current month, and you keep access until the period you have paid for ends.
  • If we change the price we will tell you by email before it applies to you, and you can cancel first.

Right of withdrawal (EU consumers)

As a consumer in the EU you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. Because Cursivia is digital content supplied immediately, by starting to use the paid features you ask us to begin at once and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once we have. Independently of that, the free trial means you can stop before any money changes hands — and if you are charged and think it was wrong, write to support@cursivia.com and we will sort it out.

6. What you may not do

  • Copy, republish or resell our questions, study briefs or plans. They are ours, and redistributing them also degrades the product for everyone.
  • Scrape the service, or use it through automated means, other than normal use in a browser.
  • Try to break the paywall, other people's accounts, or the service itself.

What you write stays yours. You give us the licence we need to run the service for you — to store your answers, compute your scores and generate your plan.

7. Availability

We do our best to keep Cursivia up but we do not promise any particular uptime, and we may change or withdraw features. If we discontinue the service we will give notice and refund the unused part of anything you have paid.

8. Liability

Cursivia is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and specifically not for the outcome of any competition, selection procedure or career decision. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited — including for death, personal injury, fraud, or your rights as a consumer under the mandatory law of your country of residence.

9. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; for anything that materially affects you we will tell you by email before it takes effect. These terms are governed by Italian law, and the courts of your place of residence are available to you as an EU consumer.
